A member of the LCPS was contacted to photograph an event which was being held for the first time in a local activity site, after some discussions about how best to approach this, we asked members who might be interest to attend for the day or part of it.
The event was being organised by a cancer support charity called Maggie’s and the local location was in Clatterbridge, Wirral close to the event location. Maggie’s support both people who have had or have cancer and their families so a worthy cause.
To enhance the festival which was to run from 11am till 9pm on the day with artists and performers plus the activities permanently located on the site including it’s giant maze, it was suggested to create a family portrait studio. This idea was put to Maggie’s and welcomed as a charge was to be made for the images, all monies going straight to the charity. A good number of members were interested and gave up their time for this charity and produced some fine images for which Maggie’s are truly happy with. They have already been used on social media and will help as promotional pictures to show how ell Maggie’s can organise such an event and will be used for when they arrange the event again next year.
