Members have asked to see how to light shiny objects for photography. So a demonstration was set up for this still-life session. With all members’ help, Wing set up the lighting to photograph some cutlery on a black perspex. Although it was thought that shiny objects are difficult to light, after the demonstration, members could see the basic principal of lighting shiny objects is quite simple. Val and Neville have already tried out the lighting technique at home after the demonstration. Here are some examples from the session and Val’s and Neville’s photos from their home shoot.
