Car photography against the sunset in Southport
A member requested to try out car photography. After many weeks of planning, a date was set and we descended onto Southport beach on 21st May, only to find the slip road to the beach was closed. We quickly found an alternative, the RSPB car park further up the coastal road.
Members took turns to photograph Keith’s lovely BMW Z4, using Polarising filter and additional lights. By shooting the individual component of the car lit by flash. These shots can be composited onto the main shot of the car.
We met a gentleman while we were shooting, and agreed to photograph his classic Jaguar XKR4 in the same style. Finished shots are shown as below.
Members attended were :- Bill Plews, Keith Harris, Neville Rumsby, Norman Jou, David Hynes, Alan Clague and Wing W Wong.
Jaguar XKR4 final photographs :- Keith was behind the camera, Neville and Wing operated the light and reflector, Wing post processed the final images.
