Activity – Night Photography at Seacombe Ferry Terminal and Eastham Refinery 15/09/2022

At the ‘Industrial’ theme image viewing meeting, Wing suggested that he had always wanted to photograph a refinery at night. So, without hesitation, an activity was organised immediately. Due to the road outside the refinery being quite narrow, and knowing there would be oil tankers on that road 24/7. We restricted the number of members attending to avoid any traffic accident. From Seacombe Ferry Terminal, we photographed Liverpool Waterfront. Many buildings have adopted the energy saving policy by leaving their lights off at night. Unfortunate for photographers. The Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building, St Nicholas Church were lit with pink lights in memory of Olivia Pratt-Korbel, the 9 year old girl shot dead in Liverpool.

Members attended : Norman Jou, Trevor Green, and Wing W Wong.
